HEDS has an expanded architectural practice in the Virginia Beach region. This modern and green home, one of several built in the area, is designed to showcase a couple’s art collection. A wetland pond and expanded wetland cove effectively bring the water view closer (where setbacks prohibited) while elegantly integrating storm water management best practices. The roofs, conceived as modern “sails” are south facing to optimize for passive solar design while anticipating the integration of solar panels in future.
