The Architects sought to introduce children to a comfortable and healthy environment—one that could have a positive impact on the environment.

This 6,000 SF daycare center, located in Missouri, was led by Charlottesville Architect Chris Hays, former Partner at William McDonough + Partners. The building is organized around two daylit atria. The atria and surrounding classrooms connect indoor spaces with the outdoors and the building and program are structured to encourage the flow of children from inside to outside. The outdoor play areas and landscape are designed to capture and filter stormwater.
