The Gap Corporate Campus design optimizes night cooling of the building mass through an underfloor plenum which also delivers fresh air to every work station. This strategy contributes to a 30 percent reduction in energy use making it one of the nation’s most energy efficient commercial buildings of its time. The project was led by Christopher Hays while Partner at William McDonough + Partners and is located near San Francisco.
