Modern and Green Herman Miller Factory in Traverse City, MI has Daylit Atrium that stretches alongside the Factory Floor and that is Full of Bamboo, Plants and Playfull Scultprues Designed by Virginia Commercial Architect.

Indoor daylighting through skylights and roof monitors, in addition to ample access to fresh air, create a pleasant work atmosphere that increases productivity and reduces absenteeism.

Signaling a new approach to manufacturing, one that enhances the health, well-being and productivity of workers, this 295,000 SF facility in Holland Michigan, was designed for Herman Miller. An indoor “street” filled with plants and connecting a café and commons creates a community atmosphere where workers can exchange ideas and feel connected to their colleagues. Design direction provided by Chris Hays, while working with William McDonough + Partners
