As Partner at William McDonough + Partners, Allison Ewing led the Sarah Heinz House project, located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, a Boys & Girls Club. The environmentally-focused addition to an historic landmark building will offer expanded opportunities to existing programs through teaching gardens and systems monitoring (allowing kids to analyze the building’s water and energy consumption, for instance) thereby kindling a legacy of environmental stewardship for its members. The project is 75,000 SF and was completed in 2007.
